Hello and welcome to My Bellyful! My name is Leah and I’m a writer, blogger, book lover (though I barely get time to read past the first chapter these days!) and art enthusiast from the UK.

Firstly, let me start by saying thank-you so much for taking the time to visit my blog. I originally created My Bellyful (originally known as Bellyful of Art) in Autumn 2014 as a platform for my art-inspired writings, but, feeling limited by my chosen niche and somewhat uninspired, in January 2018 I decided to evolve the blog into something more life-orientated.

With that in mind, there are still a few things that you won’t find on this site:

  • fashion advice (if you could see what I’m wearing now you’d understand why!)
  • make-up tips (ditto)
  • interior design inspiration (if you know how to create an Instagramable house, please let me know!)
  • mouth-watering recipes (though I am currently writing ‘An Ode to Cake’!)

What you can expect, however, are heartfelt (yet rambling) observations on all manner of life-related subjects (from a short precis on why I love train travel, to the perils of being an introvert) alongside short stories, poems and the usual book, art and film reviews.

I love writing and without My Bellyful much of what I write would remain unread on my computer so if you have any thoughts about any of the content you find here (or if you would like to write a guest post), please do get in touch – mybellyfulonline@gmail.com. I also enjoy discovering new blogs and meeting new writers so feel free to post a link to your blog in the comments section below or ping me an email at the address above if you’d like to connect.

I hope you enjoy reading My Bellyful. Thanks again for visiting and I hope to see you again soon!

  1. Hi Leah! I am just taking some time to say a big thanks to all those kind people who have followed my blog since starting last November. I really appreciate that you took the time when I was just starting out to show an interest in me and this inspired me to persist with my writing and photography. Having a chance to engage with talented bloggers has helped me develop my own skills and I am very grateful. I hope you are still enjoying blogging and look forward to keeping connected. Very best wishes and thanks! TJ
